NTU NORTH HILL
The North Hill development at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) are made up of six blocks of student hostels, cafeteria, gym and commercial spaces. The landscape is based on the 3-form system; the Arcs, Orthogonal Grid and Modular Landscape Components; and is designed to complement and facilitate the vibrant communal spaces, plazas and “space pods” for students from differing cultures and nationalities to interact and integrate. Different coloured tiles decorate the central arena and offers residents and visitors alike, a playful navigation tool, as they meander through their way. As one gets closer to the intended destination, the saturation of the coloured tiles intensifies, before slowly diminishing into the horizon as one safely reaches its abode.
