The Lodha Amara showflat and sales gallery is located in Thane, India, among some of the most well-developed localities in Maharashtra.

The landscape design strategy for the Lodha Amara project was to create a verdant naturalistic landscape comprised of a series of intimate outdoor garden rooms. Each of the garden rooms provides a different activity and experience such as reading corners, mediation areas, children’s play pods, exercise stations, among many others. The meandering paths create a sense of discovery, prospect and refuge, which invites users to explore the gardens at their own pace.

The naturalistic forest-like setting is enhanced and reinforced by the conserved large existing trees. This is complemented by newly planted trees and palms that add to the existing green infrastructure. The understory is planted with ferns, and shade loving plants that require minimal maintenance. Together they provide the project with a distinct green identity.

The show-flat landscape was designed to recreate this experience for the potential buyers. The arrival experience was purposely choreographed so that visitors would have to stroll through the garden spaces before arriving at the show-flat and sales office. In doing so the visitors are able to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the surrounding urban environment, and immerse themselves in the quiet, luxurious, green, environment.
